Introducing Turbo Imager

Turbo Imager is a new agent-based, near-native imaging tool that is compatible with both Turbo Import and ED Loader cases.  It is accessible via the Batch Processing utility, and provides the following advantages:

•Faster than standard native imaging.

•Does not require 3rd party applications to generate images.

•Allows users to specify the desired time zone for generated images.

•Tracking and canceling of Turbo Imager jobs through the LAW Management Console.

File Type Support Improvements

LAW's file format processing library has been upgraded to provide better extraction of file metadata, and support for additional email file types.

Turbo Import Improvements

The performance of document deletion in Turbo Import has been improved.  

Language within the Turbo Import Report has been normalized for consistency (e.g. "Import Items" are consistently called "Source Files").  

dtSearch

dtSearch has been updated from version 7.83 to version 7.96.  

Log Location Updates

Several ProgramData log files have been consolidated underneath the CloudNine folder.  For example, the Turbo Import logs can now be found in C:\ProgramData\CloudNine\TurboImport\Logs.  

Hashing

An updated software library for metadata extraction is built into this release of LAW to allow processing of an expanding number of file types and variations. This updated software library may result in changes in MD5 and SHA-1 hash values for emails because of updates to how data is populated into the fields used when generating the hash, when compared against hashes generated by previous versions of LAW. The difference in hashing results may impact de-duplication of emails where an email ingested in LAW 7.6 is compared against an email ingested in previous versions.
