The Grid Views

The Grid View utilities display various record Metadata Fields from the active Case Directory in a spreadsheet-style format. Several different stages of document processing are made more accessible through the use of the Grid Views, including viewing search results, quality control, Metadata Field tagging, batch processing, and reporting.

There are two different variants of the Grid View:

Standalone - Located within its own window separate from the Main User Interface. Required when performing Advanced Grid View Operations.

Embedded - Located under the Grid View tab within the Visible Metadata Fields pane of the Main User Interface. Only capable of performing Basic Grid View Operations.

 

Launching the Standalone Grid View

You can launch the Standalone Grid View by using one of the following methods:

1)Click on DisplayAllRecordsMainToolbar in the Toolbar of the Main User Interface to launch the Standalone Grid View with a listing of all document records.

i.Alternatively, from the Menu of the Main User Interface you can select Tools > Display All Records....

2)Right-click on any folder listed within the Case Directory pane of the Main User Interface, and select one of the following options from the pop-out menu:

I.Grid View - Launches the Standalone Grid View with a listing of all document records located within that folder.

II.Grid View (Recurse) - Launches the Standalone Grid View with a listing of all document records located within that folder and all its sub-folders.

3)When performing any search with the Database Query Builder, select Grid View (Standalone) from the Send Results To drop-down menu to launch the Standalone Grid View once the search query is executed.

 

Launching the Embedded Grid View

You can launch the Embedded Grid View by using the following method:

1)When performing a Field-Level Search using the Database Query Builder, select Grid View (Embedded) from the Send Results To drop-down menu to launch the Embedded Grid View once the search query is executed.

i.Selecting the Grid View tab within the Visible Metadata Fields pane of the Main User Interface and choosing Yes at the prompt will open the Database Query Builder.
