Using Data Wrangler

To run Data Wrangler, open your Windows Start menu (Windows Key), scroll to the CloudNine Data Wrangler folder, and choose CloudNine Data Wrangler.

Important

It is recommended that you run Data Wrangler as an Administrator in order to make sure you have access to Windows folders and files you may want to include.

The first time you run Data Wrangler, you will be prompted for Licensing information. This information will be saved and used each time you launch the application.

There are two different types of data processing that can be done through Data Wrangler:

Automated Processing

If you have a compatible version of CloudNine LAW and/or CloudNine Explore installed, you will be able to Enable Automated Processing during data examination to automatically send all committed sources from Data Wrangler directly into Explore or LAW Turbo Import for processing. This allows you to continue culling and reviewing data with Data Wrangler while simultaneously processing priority sources through LAW or Explore.

Manual Processing

If you do not have a compatible version of CloudNine LAW and/or CloudNine Explore installed, you will see one of the following messages appear on the Export Options screen:

Compatible applications are installed, but are not a supported version.

No compatible applications are installed.

In this instance, you can still examine sources through Data Wrangler, but will have to manually process any committed sources afterward using your desired Electronic Discovery program.
