Obtaining Credentials

Prior to running Collection Manager, if you plan to collect data from multiple mailboxes at the same time, please make sure you have the appropriate credentials to access the Office 365 cloud-based service you wish to retrieve data from.  This information should be provided by the O365 Administrator or your e-Discovery Admin following the guidelines outlined in Registering Collection Manager in Office 365.

There are four required credential fields needed in order to connect to Office 365:

Application ID

Client Secret

Authority URL

O365 Tenant ID

 

For ease of use, CloudNine Collection Manager ships with a Credentials File Generator tool.  This tool can be used by an administrator to generate a file that you can load directly into CloudNine Collection Manager.  Alternatively you can type the four required credential fields manually in Collection Manager (see Connection - Multiple Mailboxes).
