Reports

The Import Report, Search Report, Filter Summary Report, and Export Report have all been updated to disclude containers when reporting the total count and size of all files in a family.  The Export Report now displays Total Export Items with a count and size for filtered items.  

File Type Support Improvements

Explore's file format processing library has been upgraded to provide better extraction of file metadata, and support for additional email file types.

Exceptions Tab Updates

The Exceptions tab in the Case Dashboard has been updated to display exception categories organized by severity.  Only categories with exceptions will appear.  

Explore API

This version of Explore provides access to more fields via the Explore Export API.  

dtSearch

dtSearch has been updated from version 7.83 to version 7.96.  

Hashing

An updated software library for metadata extraction is built into this release of Explore to allow processing of an expanding number of file types and variations. This updated software library may result in changes in MD5 and SHA-1 hash values for emails because of updates to how data is populated into the fields used when generating the hash, when compared against hashes generated by previous versions of Explore. The difference in hashing results may impact de-duplication of emails where an email ingested in Explore 7.6 is compared against an email ingested in previous versions.
