Explore 7.3.237 - February 26, 2020

Enhancements

Explore 7.3 offers advanced search and filter capabilities, allowing you to quickly apply search filters using saved searches, tags, and custodians. Filter entire tag sets from your search results, retrieve and tag all untagged items in your dataset, or apply a tag to all family records.

Users can also benefit from new review functions, including a linear review type and options to chronologically sort review sets.

Known Issues

Reports

In some situations where errors occurred during the export, the Export Report's Summary of Exported Items (Included Families) is smaller than the sum of the Custodian's Exported Items (Included Families).

Software Licensing

When multiple product keys are activated on the same license server with overlapping features, the overlapping features will display the expiration date of the product key that expires first.

For example, a perpetual license contains 1 Tiff, 1 Admin, 1 ED Loader, and 1 OCR and is activated on the license server with an expiration date of NEVER.  A burst license for 2 Tiff licenses, 1 Edit, and 1 OCR licenses that Expires on 6/18/2018 is activated on the same license server.  The license manager will display the 3 Tff and 2 OCR licenses combined with an expiration date of 6/18/2018.

Deactivating the burst license or the perpetual license from the license server to activate on a different server, will remove all overlapping licenses.   For example, deactivating the burst license will remove all Tiff and OCR licenses in addition to the 1 Edit license, leaving the 1 Admin and 1 ED Loader on the license server.  The current workaround is to deactivate the remaining license (perpetual EID) and activate it again.

Analysis

In rare instances, embedded images are not being extracted with the correct file type extension.

NSF Processing

Scenarios where multiple Agents attempt to process a single NSF file may cause an exception. To bypass this exception, users can temporarily restrict processing to one agent and reprocess the NSF source, and then remove the agent restriction for regular imports.  This will be addressed in a future release.

Email Processing

In rare circumstances where an email poster replies or forwards his/her own email and also changes the address list, the email thread may not be properly identified. All emails will be recognized as being in the same thread, but the parent/child relationships of the emails may be incorrect.

Near Dupe

Near Dupe results that have been calculated at a specific comparison threshold are not being re-built when threshold settings are modified. Newly imported data will use the latest comparison threshold setting, meaning results may not be accurate when compared against the first set.

ABBYY

In Explore, Case Settings, the ABBYY engine may sometimes display a false warning claiming it is not installed.  To confirm if your ABBYY engine is installed verify that your "C:\Program Files (x86)\LAW50\ABBYY FineReader Engine 11.0" folder exists.
