Added Turbo Imager to Batch Processing.  This is an agent-based, near native imaging tool compatible with both Turbo Import and ED Loader cases offering several benefits over the previous imaging tool.

Case Management

Tbl.Doc (and associated SQL tables) will be created by default on new case creation, even if "Enable Electronic Discovery..." is disabled on new case creation. ED Loader/Turbo Import options will still remain disabled if "Enable EDD" is not selected (Scan-only case scenarios).

After upgrading LAW to 7.3, the management and case databases will require updates. Management updates can be applied via the LAW Configuration Utility or by opening LAW or Explore. Case updates can be applied by simply opening a case, and users will be prompted before the case updates are applied. While updates are pending, no work will be able to be performed on these cases. Inactive or legacy cases do not need to be updated until work on them is required. NOTE: LAW will now check the version of the database against the program version - older versions of Explore will not be able to open cases created in version 7.3.

Users can now create a SQL-based File Type Management database using the LAW Configuration Utility. You can also upload your existing FTM database to the LAW Management Database to share between ED Loader, Turbo Import, and CloudNine Explore.

The LAW Configuration Utility allows users to create and/or point to an existing LAW Management database. The LAW Management database is used to host shared settings for the LAW 7.0 environment. Database configuration is required before using the application.

With the LAW Configuration Utility, users can configure local workstations for standard LAW processing and /or specify which machines are set as "worker" boxes for Turbo Import processing.

In the LAW Configuration Utility, the database server name will be set to actual machine name when "localhost", "127.0.0.1" or "." is entered.

LAW will now read the License Server specified in the LAW Configuration Utility. The ability to specify the License Server in the Profile Manager has been removed.

Users can migrate an existing Access File Type Management database to a SQL database using the LAW Configuration Utility.

Users can access the NIST/NSRL link, and upload a copy of the NIST/NSRL files to a SQL database using the LAW Configuration Utility.

If setting changes or management creation fails in the LAW Configuration Utility, users have the option to save the error data to a CSV log.

Introducing the CloudNine LAW Configuration Utility - a wizard designed to simplify the process of configuring both LAW Environments and Local processing machines.

Users can set LAW Case directory defaults (Case and Image folders) using the LAW Configuration Utility.

Users have the option to review their Environment and Local Machine configurations before applying changes, and can navigate through the LAW Configuration Utility to make setting updates as necessary.

Users can configure the LAW Service account via the LAW Configuration Utility. Configuration of the LAW Service is required for Turbo Import processing on at least one workstation in the environment.

Users can quickly connect new LAW 7.0 installs to an existing 7.0 LAW Management environment using the LAW Configuration Utility.

The LAW Configuration Utility can now be launched as part of the application install process.

Users can cancel changes to existing configuration settings and exit the LAW Configuration Utility.

Users can navigate forward and backwards in the LAW Configuration Utility (note: input/connection validation may be required to advance to next tab).

Deduplication

Turbo Import calculates and applies MD5 and SHA-1 hash values to imported documents. See the Answer Center for list of fields used in hashing.

Turbo Import allows the ability to select between MD5 and SHA-1 for deduplication filtering.

The ability to hash and deduplicate documents in Turbo Import is enabled with the option to apply Global or Custodian level filtering.

Deduplication can be enabled/disabled in Turbo Import. Hashing will be applied regardless of the deduplication filter state.

Users can determine if duplicates in Turbo Import are included or excluded from the LAW case on import.

Duplicate families for Turbo Import cases can now be viewed in the LAW Duplicate Viewer.

Dupe fields are updated after Turbo Import documents are deleted from the Turbo Import case if the "Refresh duplicate status after deleting records" is enabled in Tools>Options>Preferences in LAW.

Turbo Import populates LAW duplication fields for successfully imported records.

Turbo Import update the DupStatus and DupID on previously imported data when user imports new data.
