14.Culling Data:  On this screen, you'll have the option to cull your raw data before uploading it to Review:

a.To skip data culling, select the No radio button, and then click Next at the bottom-right to proceed to the Upload stage (skip to Step 18).

b.To cull your data, select the Yes radio button, and then click Next at the bottom-right to begin the culling process.

Note

You can also opt to Use Enhanced file-type identification by checking the box provided.

With this enabled, files are identified by their unique signature (file header) rather than their extension. Identification will be more accurate, but will take longer as a result.

15.During file identification, the Source Selection Progress window appears. Adding large data sets, such as an entire hard drive, can take several minutes to identify.

CullingData

16.Once file identification has finished, you'll be ready to start culling your data set. The following tabs are available:

Folders/Directory - Select or deselect entire folders from your data set.

Date & File - Filter your data set by file-type and/or date, and select or deselect individual files.

Mailstore - Review PST files and their contents.

 

17.Cull your data as desired on each tab (visit the Mailstore tab at least once in order to retrieve PST data), and then click Next at the bottom-right to proceed to the Upload stage.
